This home is a blend of contemporary and prairie styles. The low profile roof, large horizontal windows, and the use of natural tones are all hallmarks of the prairie style popularized in the Midwest. Exposed steel members at the front entry give the home a more contemporary feel while not being overly ornamental. The interior open living space uses the window configuration to bring order and hierarchy to the space.

This home exemplifies outdoor living on the water. Multi-levels of decks and patios are visually tied together through timber elements and grounded in contrasting stone piers. A narrow lot is a common challenge on waterfront property and this home demonstrates how to make the most of this constraint.
